Networking- ITEC Programme

Is sharing the resources (Hardwares & Software)
Resources :
1.Hardware
-Storage ( clusters,  NAS /network area sources, RAM, HDD, SAN/Storage Area Network)
-Printer   -Proccessors
2.Software
-Electonic Informations (emails,Documents,Db)
Basic requirement Network :
1.      2 PC à Mother board /BIOS , RAM,CPU, HDD, SMPS
2.      N I C (Netwotk Interface Car / Line Car)
3.      Cabless or Communication media (-wireless and –wireed)
4.      Addressing :  1. MAC / Hardware address (48 bit haxadecimals)
                        2. IP Adress à ipv 4 (32 bit Binary), next ipv 6 (128 bit Haxa decimals)
MAC  address can change temporary (hacked) but not permanently. This act called pooping
5.       Protocol (rule of communication) : TCP /  IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet protocol)
Example : http://
                  ftp
other protocol for mail are SMTP(simple mail transfer protocol) , IMAP (internet message acces protocol) /POP
Suit is a group of protocols

IP Adressing à 32 bit binary Numbers devided into 4parts and sparated by dot

                      ______8bit_____.______8bit_____._____8bit_____._____8bit______

1 byte = 8bit
IP is devided into  2 parts  à Network and Host ID

Ipv 4 clasified in 5 classes
-Class A
-Class B
-Class C
-Class D
-Class E

In real only class a-c used bcoz d and e used for research and scientific .
Class A __Net ID__.___________.____________.__________
                                                                 Host ID 2-4
To identify class a is, you see the 1st bit on IP . if it is 0-127 so it is

Class B  _________.___________.___________._________
Net ID 1-2                                      Host ID 3-4
To identify class a is, you see the 1st bit on IP . if it is 128 to 190

Class C ________.___________.___________.___________
                                             Net ID1-3                           Host ID
To identify class a is, you see the 1st bit on IP . if it is 191 to 223
The higest Net ID is in class C and the higest Host ID is in class A

Example :
10.0.0.1 (is class A. 10 is Net id, .0.0.1 is Host ID)
129.10.10.2 ( Class B. 129 & 10 is Net ID , 10 & 2 is Host ID)
193.168.1.50 (class c 193.168.1 is net ID 50 is host ID

Binary
Lowes # 8 bit à 00000000 – 0 in decimal
                0,1 à  11111111 – 255 in decimal (max dec #)

1st Network Id Class A  10.0.0.0
                           10.0.0.1 til 10.0.0.255
Next                  10.0.1.1
                           10.0.1.2 til 10.0.1.255
Higest is            10.255.255.255 (but is use in Broadcast ID)

1st Network ID Class B 128.0.0.0
                                        128.1.0.0
Last nertwork in class B 190.255.0.0

IP class  c is      191.0.0.0
1st network is  191.1.0.0
Last net class C 233.255.255.0

0.0.0.0  à Represent all network (Class Ato E)
255.255.255.255 à Represent all broadcast network
This how to know your ip address on PC

This is how to change ip address

The other way to change ip address is
All programe-accessories-common prompt or windows logo + R enter-klik CMD klik enter-type ipconfig
-enter

To increase bit just ping.ip 10.0.10.42
ping.ip 10.0.10.42-t (pinged)
type control-C and type ping.ip 10.0.10.42 -t -l 64000    (to increase bit)

Another Guidelines to IP Adress
Public    :  Only provided by ISP (internet service provider)
Ex. 200.200.200.0 but if it is not online  and other use the ip, it must be changed
These will never sign by any ISP And we can pick any of these IP
Class IP 10.0.0.0
Class B 172.16.0.0
              172.31.0.0
Class C 192..168,0,0
             192.165.255.0
Every country has difrent IP Adress.

Ex: In india has some provider like Tata,VSNL…each of them has IP address that can be traced easily.
Below is IP address of proxy server (gate way)

IANA (Internet Assigned Number Authority) is The organization that organize PUBLILC  IP around the world.

it provide 5 flatform IP server..it can trace IP Adress owner through who is search depence on the counrry covered area.
